CRUX Vocal Ensemble was founded by Paul McGough early in 2006 in Dublin, Ireland, to perform a combination of ancient and contemporary music in the dramatic architectural and acoustic settings they were customarily designed for. An all-male group, Crux enjoys a residency at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, one of Dublin's most ancient, sacred buildings.
