The beautiful organ in the church of St. Vincent de Paul, Clichy, near Paris was designed by Camille Saint-Saëns and built by the firm of Abbey for the 1900 Paris Universal Exhibition, before being transferred to this church in 1905. Thanks to the titulaire, Baptiste-Florian Marle-Ouvrard, for allowing me to play and, indeed, for holding filming the occasion. Converse All-Stars aren’t exactly ideal footwear for playing the organ, but I was on holiday and it was an unexpected opportunity!
