FAQs

How far in advance should we book?

Popular acts can book out 9–12 months ahead for peak Saturdays. For weekdays/off-season, 3–6 months can be enough—always enquire early.

Do musicians bring their own PA?

Most soloists and duos provide compact PA suitable for churches and civil venues. String quartets and acoustic ensembles typically don’t need PA.

How many songs do we need?

For a Catholic Mass: entrance, responsorial psalm, gospel acclamation, offertory, communion (2), signing, recessional. Civil/humanist ceremonies usually include 4–6 key pieces.

Can we request pop songs?

Absolutely—most acts offer modern repertoire. Some churches may require sacred music for specific parts; check with your celebrant.

Do we tip musicians in Ireland?

Tipping isn’t expected. If you wish, a small gratuity or a review is appreciated.
